デルタ航空で２時間遅延発生連絡！！すぐさまrebooking を実行して20分遅延に短縮できた！
私がデルタ航空が好きなのは、
①アップグレードの頻度がかなり高い。たとえ、最安値のTクラスチケットであっても、お構いなく、ブジネスクラスへ！席が広いだけのときもありますが、アルコールが飲み放題なのは、やめられません。
②遅延が発生したときは、iPhoneで、もしくは、ネットで、rebooking が簡単にできることです。いちいち、カウンターへ並んでられません。（これ苦痛なんです。もし、キャンセルにでもなったら、皆さんが殺到して、rebookingできる便も出来なくなります。）
が大きな理由です。
今回、LAX-JFK便で２時間遅延の連絡がありました。（電話で遅延連絡がくるようにしてます）
そして、直ちに、rebooking を実施。
このときのポイントですが、JFKへの直行便はそもそも、席がないと思うので、ソルトレイクシティ経由としました。
なぜ、ソルトレイクシティなのか？
それは、ソルトレイクシティ経由は、アップグレードされる確率が格段にアップする上に、乗り継ぎが簡単な、程よい大きさの空港だからです。
LAX午前8時30分発でJFK午後5時着でしたが、これをLAX午前7時55分発のソルトレイクシティ経由のJFKへ変更し、午後5時20分に到着できました。
しかも、ソルトレイクシティ行き、JFK行きと両方でアップグレードをゲットできました。
素晴らしいです。
そもそも、遅延が発生しないことが大切なんですが、ここはアメリカです。遅延はあって当たり前です。割り切っておくのも必要です。
デルタには「ありがとうメール」をうっておきました。返信がありましたんで、掲載しておきます。
